Q. How do I maximize the Android phone battery life while using GolfLogix?

A. GolfLogix highly recommends that your Android phone has a fully charged battery before starting your round. Using the GPS is very demanding of battery life. During the round, be sure to lock your screen when not actively using GolfLogix. To learn more please watch the battery tip video under Demo Video in App Settings.

There are other methods that you can use to set up the phone before you begin playing to increase battery life.

1. Lower your screen brightness to 50%.
2. Turn off Wi-Fi.

Q: How accurate is GolfLogix?

A: Our professionally marked golf courses are within 0-3 yards accuracy. The accuracy of the GPS on an Android phone is usually in the range of 0-7 yards.

Q: Why do distances sometime change while I am standing still?

A: The GPS receiver in Android's are constantly calculating your distance. The number may change randomly due to weather conditions and/or the number of GPS satellites it is currently seeing in the sky.

Q: Is GolfLogix easy to use?

A: Yes. All of the GolfLogix products are designed by golfers like you. We recommend that you ease your way into all of the features. So, play a round with GPS distances only, then on the next round try tracking scores and stats, then when you are getting comfortable and fast with those features, try our patented club tracking feature.

Q: Where can I use GolfLogix?

A: Anywhere in the world where we have a golf course mapped. You will also need a working data plan or access to Wifi to download courses.

Q: Can I check my email, answer/make a call, or listen to music while using GolfLogix?

A: Yes, as long as it doesn't interfere with playing golf. While using GolfLogix, press the home button on the front of your Android's phone to go back to your main menu. When returning to GolfLogix, you will be asked to Continue Round. Press this to return to where you left off.
