Can I map my own course?
For $349.95 we don't think a golfer should ever have to map their own course. Therefore, GolfLogix does all of the mapping for you. We have a Request A Course feature that will provide golfers with requested courses in 14 business days (often times much quicker). In rare cases we will be temporarily unable to map your course because aerial or satellite data for your area is unavailable. In those cases we will work to obtain new imagery to map your course as quickly as possible. Our golf course maps include all of the pertinent information you need to have an excellent round of golf including all hazards, carry distances, and the front, center, and back of each green. We use a combination of on-site, aerial and satellite imagery to map our courses. One advantage of using this method is that we will be updating our maps once per year to reflect any changes that are made at the golf courses. In fact, we are the only company that performs a review of each course map annually. Of course, we welcome input and additional course information from our customers. To request a course click on Help and Request a Course then enter the course information

Can I use my GARMIN eTrex or another GARMIN device with your software?
Not at this time. GolflLogix and GARMIN have been working together for the past 8 years in developing the optimum GPS solution for the game of golf. Although GolfLogix GPS units resemble the GARMIN eTrex units, they are not the same. Althought the hardware for the GolfLogix GPS units are manufactured and warrantied through GARMIN, the GolfLogix software cannot be ported to any other GARMIN GPS units at this time. If you have a GARMIN eTrex or another GARMIN GPS unit and you are interested in GolfLogix GPS, please contact us at info@golflogix.com.

Why doesn't GolfLogix GPS come with a built-in rechargeable battery?
Outdoor GPS units typically require a high-drain on batteries. With a built-in rechargeable battery, a golfer's GPS unit may run out of batteries in the middle of their round with no electrical outlets to recharge. Therefore, we have found that it is much more simple and convenient to use standard size AA batteries that are readily available to users. The majority of golfers keep their GolfLogix GPS units in their golf bag with spare AA batteries so they never run out of power on the golf course. We have found that high powered AA alkaline batteries (such as Duracell and Energizer) can last up to 22 hours. If a golf chooses to purchase rechargeable AA batteries, we recommend NiMh batteries that typically last 12 to 14 hours.

Is using a GPS distance device during your round a violation of USGA regulations?
As of January 1, 2006, the USGA and R&A both sanctioned the use of satellite-based yardage measuring devices during competition. Specifically, decision 14-3/0.5 allows a committee to permit the use of distance measuring devices by Local Rule. This applies to devices that measure distance only, not any other conditions that may affect a player's game such as wind or gradient. In the absence of such a Local Rule, the use of a distance measuring device remains contrary to the Rules. Golfers should check with their golf professional prior to use in a USGA sanctioned event. GPS devices have always been permitted in handicap scoring in recreational rounds.

My Unit does display courses even after I went through the load process. Why don’t I see my courses?
You must leave the GPS unit on for the entire download (make sure the batteries are charged). It typically takes 30 seconds per golf course to download. DO NOT disconnect the GolfLogix GPS the unit or power it off while loading. The GolfLogix Course Manager will shut down automatically when the download is complete. After the GolfLogix GPS turns off, disconnect the download cable and turn on the GolfLogix GPS to view the courses downloaded. If the GolfLogix GPS download process is interrupted simply plug the unit in again and start the “Load” process again.
Also, always ensure device is connected to internet for course loading

When I try to buy the upgraded membership, my card is declined. Why?
We take credit card security very seriously, and while we do not want to reject a valid card, it sometimes happens with our online anti-fraud system. Usually a credit card is declined for 3 reasons: 1) the billing information doesn't match what is on file with the card company, 2) the credit limit on the card has been exceeded, or 3) the card company has placed an anti-fraud block on your card as a precaution. You may have to contact your card company if you card declines to see if they can release the block.

Is it safe to enter my credit card information?
